Porini Restaurant has been an integral part of the Mombasa restaurant scene for more than 35 years. Having started its life in Mombasa North Coast as "Porini Village" in the year 1975 Porini grew into a flourishing restaurant serving an original and delicate combination between Kenyan and Seychellois cuisine. Yolanda Firth, the creator and motivational force behind the venture opened Boko Boko in Diani 14 years after Porini emerged and became an important part of Diani's culinary offerings. The year 2006 saw Yolanda relocate back to North coast to merge the two ventures together and creating "Porini Seychelloise Restaurant" which still holds on to traditional Boko Boko and Porini values. Porini is not just a restaurant, but an experience with quaint cottages available as holiday accommodation located within a flourishing farm full of the flora and fauna of the African bush combined with the warmth of Seychellois tradition.
